Bleaching

One of the oldest dreams of mankind is to have whiter teeth. Earlier, they tried many substances and techniques but mostly in vain or with the consequence of serious tooth damages. Nowadays we are able to effectively whiten teeth without any negative consequences.

Tooth discoloration may have various causes. It can appear on the tooth surface having its causes from the outside. Whitening tooth pastes and mouth rinses can possibly remove some of the extrinsic tooth discolourations. However, for the removal of discolourations that develop from the inside, in the micro-fissures of the tooth enamel, deep in the dentine, the only choice can be the professional bleaching agents allowed to be used only in the dental surgery. Should a discolouration occur as a consequence of illness, injury or medical treatment (eg. after a root canal treatment), then special strategies and medical products are needed in order to whiten the affected teeth.

Tooth bleaching is possible only for a natural tooth. Fillings and tooth restorations need to be replaced or adapted to regain their startling white.

Tooth hypersensitivity is a common side effect of bleaching, it’s presence is felt only temporary and dissapears after the end of the treatment.

In order to maintain the result of a tooth bleaching for as long as possible, a regular and careful mouth hygiene should be effected. In support of the treatment’s result comes a professional dental hygiene session in our surgery. Should the teeth darken or discolour over time, we can anytime refresh and repeat the procedure of bleaching.

It is our pleasure to receive you in our surgery in the PlusCity mall on the Plus-Kauf-Strasse 7, 4061 Pasching and to discuss with you these aspects as well as the treatment itself and the costs.
